Air Liquide has been supplying industrial gases and services for all Industries, Healthcare, Food and Beverages, and Fabrication in accordance with the top international quality standards in the Southern Africa region for more than 50 years.

Air Liquide supplies oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and speciality gases as well as services to most industries (including steel, oil refining, chemistry, glass, electronics, paper, metallurgy, food processing, construction and aerospace); while to the end-user, Air Liquide is better known as supplier of medical gases and services.

Air Liquide has built its leadership on finding and industrializing innovations that contribute to improve customers’ industrial performance while helping to protect the environment thanks to the use of gases in its process.

Air Liquide Southern Africa is making available the full worldwide scope of products and services in the region with highly committed teams. Present in 4 regions and 16 branches in South Africa, 3 branches in Botswana, 3 subsidiaries focused respectively on Hospital, Homecare and Welding/Cutting customers, we also supply through a qualified network of distributors representing outlets in South Africa as well as in Mozambique.

Our sourcing is based on :

  • 9 Air Separation Units,
  • 6 CO2 purification plants,
  • more than 100 smaller gas generators located on customer’s site and operated and maintained by our Technical team

A local dedicated team is continuously managing a strict and continuous quality control of our products and services, supported by corporate technical experts capitalizing more than 100 years of worldwide experience.

Air Liquide has grown in average by +15%/year since 1998 thanks to industrial investment and acquisition. Our goal is to accelerate this growth by investing new capacities ensuring best reliability of supply to the increasing demand.

Already R400m investment has been committed for 2007-2008.

Corporate Social Responsibility programme, Black Economic Empowerment plan, Skills Development, and the fight against HIV/Aids, complement fully our local strategy in Southern Africa.
